“I'm trying so hard not to fall when I'm dancing on ice...”
These are the words that began as a journal entry, evolved into a spoken word poem, and have now taken form as an ambient instrumental release: “Beneath The Ice - If I fall (Instrumental)” - officially out May 11th, 2025.
THE ORIGIN OF THE POEM
Dancing on Ice began as a reflection on emotional balance - a poetic metaphor for resilience, vulnerability, and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward when life feels uncertain. The image of “dancing on ice” represents fragility and beauty in the same breath: trying not to break under pressure while still finding grace in motion.
As Kelly Kit explains:
“I wrote the original poem in a moment where everything felt thin — my patience, my strength, my time. But somehow I was still dancing. That’s where the music grew from.”
